Setting the foundations
Thakeham invited Bigkid to help design the identity and develop the brand stories behind a new ‘destination development’, of 647 new homes in Pease Pottage, Sussex. We created an identity for the ages. Simple, minimal, and elegant, everything about it contributes to the town and country lifestyle that would be the golden thread of the brand story we were going to weave, from the name and the modern cut of the stencil font to the colour palette and leaf motif on the ear of the letter ‘g’.
The destination brand of Woodgate was born.
Building a following
Over 80,000 people leave London every year. We invited them to come on an adventure with us, to be pioneers in their new future.
‘A great place to begin your next journey. Even better to come home to’.
The development’s close proximity to the city in a countryside setting offers a swift commute, easy access to an outdoor lifestyle, and a host of convenient facilities on site; including a local store and coffee shop, a community hub, gardens, and an orchard; all set within a smartly planned infrastructure of new roadways, bus routes and cycles paths.
Our unifying idea for the prelaunch campaign was to ‘change your life, not your lifestyle’, reminding our customers that they could stay connected to their city lifestyles whilst enjoying a bigger home, in a beautiful new community, and with an Area of Outstanding Beauty right outside their front door.
Creating a warm welcome
The master brochure was produced in line with Thakeham’s circular economy commitment, with vegetable die inks and on an elegant 100% recycled stock. Featuring master breaker pages and a stylish throwout section, it was designed to capture the feelings and emotions of not just moving home, but moving to a new way of living.
With three brands marketing the development, Bigkid also were also asked to provide onside wayfinding and signage, as well as put together proposals for the exteriors of the sales cabins, the interiors of which were beautifully fitted out by Jigsaw Interiors.
And partner agency Storm 12, through their expert UX and design team, brought the look and feel to life across a dynamic website and through their ongoing marketing activity, working in synergy with Bigkid to deliver a client and a customer experience to be proud of.
