Love at first sit. Quite some statement, but then The Lounge Co. really know how to relax. As part of the group which includes Parker Knoll, G Plan and Duresta, they’ve been making fantastic quality sofas and chairs for decades. A new brand, targeting a new audience required a little bit of Bigkid know-how to bring their singular vision and in-store experience to life.

WHAT WAS NEW?

The client had identified a significant structural shift in the furniture market. Whilst consumers continued to use the internet to research products and expected speed, ease of use and extremely high-quality content, certain fundamental consumer behaviours had not changed at all. Specifically, where customers were investing significantly in an item of furniture that they’d own for a decade or more, they wanted to experience that product first.

WHAT WAS NEW?

WHAT WE DID

Bigkid’s aim was to help facilitate the unique ‘online research to offline experience’ journey in store.

Our team created a unique modular framework. Distinctive by design, adaptive by nature, the solution fits effortlessly into any retail partner space whilst at the same time maintaining a clarity of brand between individual locations.

 

 

 

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT

Every element of the in-store environment was considered, designed and delivered, right down to the POS holders, product tickets and after sales communications packs. In collaboration with the client and the individual sites, we took care of the installation and deployment to all 21 partner locations across the length and breadth of the UK.

 

 

Neatly separating each retail environment into individual rooms, the ratio of product to available floor space never feels imposing to the customer, and they can move seamlessly between the online user experience at the centre console touch screens, to the offline sensory and emotive experience of the fabrics, their textures and of course, the beautiful sofas and chairs themselves.
